How does In-Store Radio differ from that of other music providers?


Because we won't just give you an off the shelf cassette or even a canned "channel", we will custom make your own personal music program to best suit your needs. Whether you require non-stop music or music interspersed with announcements, here at In-Store Radio we provide this service at no extra cost.  Try that with Muzak or DMX!

Does it really matter what music we play?


Research shows that playing the right kind of music does have an impact on your shoppers. For example, playing non-copyright music ("elevator music") is dull and boring and can, in fact drive customers away.  People don't listen to "elevator music" at home, but they do listen to the radio and iPods which are FILLED with copyright music!  So, why not fill their visit their favorite songs in your stores and encourage them to stay longer and return more often.

Can I pick what music is played in my program?


Absolutely!  As long as the songs are represented by ASCAP or SESAC, you can use them in your program.  However, some songs are better than others when trying to keep shoppers in your stores.  Generally, more upbeat and positive songs keep shoppers happy and happy shoppers shop longer.

Who writes our commercials?  Who decides what messages are in my radio show?


You are completely in control of your message.  We will record any message you want and use it in your show.  If you feel more comfortable writing your ads yourself, that’s great!  If you’d like some help in writing your ads, our ad writers will help you at no extra charge!

How long is the In-Store Radio show?


It's unlimited!  In-Store Radio plays 24-hours a day, 7-days a week!  In-Store Radio will fill your store with random selections from thousands of songs that keep your shoppers in your store!  We'll also throw in the ads you want your shoppers to hear at regular intervals and you can even tell us how often you want those ads to play!

How many ads do I get?


It's unlimited!  A typical show will have around 20 - 30 ads in rotation.  That way, your customers won't hear the same message over and over, however, if you want a particular ad to play more often than the rest, we can do that, too!  You can also schedule ads to play at certain times of the day.  The sky's the limit!

I'm an extremely busy person.  Will this take up a lot of my time?


Not at all.  By doing our research on your individual outlet, we take that headache away from you.  We make every music program individually and concentrate on getting the music just right for you.  You can feel confident that we will make you a professional music program tailored to your needs and if at any time you’re not delighted, we’ll work with you until you are!

How does In-Store Radio end up in my store?  What kind of equipment is involved?


In-Store Radio provides you with our WebRadio that is so easy to set up, you can do it yourself!  The WebRadio connects directly into your existing speaker system and to your existing Internet connection.  The WebRadio then streams your show LIVE from our servers.  We've set it up this way so that you have the most control over your show as possible.  Because the music and ads are streaming LIVE , you can change them instantly by going to your online control panel or contacting us!

Do we have to use In-Store Radio sound equipment?


Absolutely not!  We use your existing speaker system to broadcast In-Store Radio.  As a matter of fact, we DON'T SELL Public Address systems, but if you need one, we can help you get one that suits your needs and fits your budget.  The equipment that plays In-Store Radio is included with the service and can be connected to your P.A. system and does not require a special technician.

How often can we change our program and our commercials?


Your subscription entitles you to 4 versions a year; one change every quarter.  However, In-Store Radio is only interested in your satisfaction, if you want to change your program more often, we can do that. We are currently working on a technology that will allow you to change your ads and your music whenever you like for NO ADDITIONAL COST!

How long does the contract last?


The contract term is 36 months with auto-renewal for an additional 24 months.   Industry standard term is 5 years.  However, we’re more interested in your satisfaction with our service.  If that doesn’t fit your needs, we’ll work with you to find a solution that does fit.

Are you expensive?


Not at all, in fact you will find we are very cost effective. For example, one In-Store client formerly used a very-well-known “elevator music” provider and was charged $75/store/month and that does NOT include anywhere near the number of custom commercials and messages.  For only $65/location/month (rate is dependent on number of locations) you get it all with In-Store Radio!
